based on Under Vaults Ltd. I Managed news
The Problem:
Under Vaults Ltd. is a consulting UK company and our partner on mY tender project. Recently they decided to make web news page more dynamic, with more control over the content. Hence Canadian 3WLogix was in charge for site maintenance with a manual news update, the basic problem was an "update delay" which was additionally increased by a time difference between UK and Canada.
User Requirements:
1. News types
- News that will be displayed only in the news panel with a link to a file
- News that will be displayed only in the news panel with a link to an external site
- Internal Under Vaults Ltd. news that will be displayed in both news panel and news page
2. News panel properties
- It is consisted of a news Title, Date and Teaser
- May have a product/service logo
3. News page properties
- It is consisted of a news Title, Date and Text
- May have a event logo
- May have a maximum of one picture per news
- May have a downloads section
4. Required funcionallity
- Must provide news tracking ability
- Must provide a preview before publishing news
- Must provide a basic text formating (bold, italic, with additional external links)
- News panell must provide auto links to news pages
- Only an authorized personnel can edit news content
The Solution:
"I Manage" was an excellent choice since it statisfied all of the above requests with already builted-in functions. Furthermore user can enjoy additional options that can be very handy, like:
